I love this it really gives a better insight in how to build up a digital painting. I'm always looking for new ways to learn and I'm definitly gonna be looking at this one a few more times :)

Thanks a lot for sharing this wip  I'm starting to get acquainted with digital painting and I love to see how other artists' minds work.
By the way, if you have the time I have a couple of questions:
What type of painter brushes do you use? And what brushes do you use for blending?

you're welcome. I usually start in photoshop with airbrush tool (with brush with hard edges (hardness- 100% spacing- 25%)) and opacity set on 18%. If I need some textures I use my own scans of old papers or some splatters of paint or I create them with brushes in painter. Than when I'm quite satisfied with the picture or I'm bored with photoshop I open the pic in Painter. I use Painter mainly for blending (I like painting in photoshop a little bit more than in painter, because too much bruches in Painter are a bit disturbing for me :)). For blending I use variable round brush, when I'm only blending I set resaturation on 0 and I'm changing the dryout depending on how much I want to blend. Every time I do blending in painter I put the pic back to photoshop and I start adding details.
So I really don't use many brushes :D
Sometimes I use also other brushes in painter, but not very often.
Hope it helped you a little:)

You can get it on Painter's official website or buy it boxed in software stores (duh).
Of course, you can also get it for free on P2P networks... but that's illegal! :tp:

very well done, I love the color tone you chose for the building and landscape, very warm and inviting.

Thanks a lot!
I agree with you, painter has so many brushes that I feel a little overwhelmed too :XD:
