I usually don't post work like this, but I'll try it this time .This is my work from yesterdays figure drawing course in school. The pose is not the best but I couldn't choose . I'm quite satisfied with this (after years of figure drawing). I started to add kind of a painterly feel into the drawings (before I worked just with line and I started to be bored with it). I hope you like it, but also all the crits are very welcome as well.
we don't really get very good models there. Usually they just sit sometimes do some standing pose. This time he was sitting there quite long, so I've had time to experiment, took me about 2 hours
I always love charcoal and I think that you did a great job on this one, I like the raw feeling it gives but also by looking at that old man you feel something close to vulnerability. Very beautiful!

hmm good work, I like how you modeled the skulls anatomy quite well ! actually the longer I observe your painting the more it feels natural and I can see all the details in those loose charcoals "blots". nice technique
